About the Lunar Rites
There are eight Lunar Rites that align with the four phases of the moon: new, waxing, full, and waning. Within each Lunar Rite, several rituals are offered so that you can have variety in your group celebrations, but any of the rituals may be repeated on a monthly basis if desired. You are welcome to customize these rituals however you like.
Lunar Rites celebrate the moon's phases, psychic powers, and intuition. These rituals are focused on interpersonal discovery, growth, and emotional support, and are most appropriate for small groups of 2-8 people. They can be scaled up, but group discussions and the News will get longer and less in-depth with larger groups. There is no hard rule to follow if you're happy, but if your group for Lunar Rites has grown to over thirteen people, you may wish to divide into two groups for the convenience of the attendees.
Generally speaking, the Lunar Rites shouldn't take more than an hour, and can be shorter if desired. If you wish to celebrate every other week, I suggest doing so at the new moon and the full moon. If you prefer to celebrate only once a month, do it at the full moon. Alternatively, you could choose a specific night to celebrate, and celebrate whatever phase is relevant on that night — doing this should take you through the various phases throughout the year. Whenever possible, Lunar rites should be performed at night, by the light of the moon. If you want to get moody with it, light some candles or dim the lights — just make sure you have enough light to read and conduct the Rites.
